The Trump administration’s efforts around mass deportation, the dismantling of democracy, and the rise of kleptocracy must be stopped and reversed. So:
- We need to generate mass public disapproval through non-violent spectacle and performance
- We need to be give heart to those uncertain what to do, prompting them to take action themselves
- We need to lend strength and show love to those targeted by the administration:
- Whether you are an undocumented neighbor
- Or a targeted federal worker
- Or a transgender person seeing their identity erased:
If this adminstration comes to harm you, we will make noise (hopefully lovely, inspiring noise).
Rapid Response Choir Actions
Each chapter is prepared to show up to be heard for the communities we’re trying to protect. Sometimes this will be scheduled events, but we are joining with immigration action networks to show up to ICE raids targeting otherwise innocent neighbors.
Rapid Response Choir chapters will be ready to assemble on short notice at a school, church, community or place of business, and be ready to sing for thirty minutes or longer if need be.
We will not interfere with law enforcement, but we will remind everyone of their rights under the Constitution.
See local chapter pages for upcoming planned actions.
