America the Beautiful
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed full grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful thy immigrants
Who hail from every land
Their hope and heart and diligence
Like gifts from god’s own hand
America! America!
Thy grace shall yet remain
To greet the poor who reach thy shore
With open arms again
We Shall Not Be Moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
Just like a tree that's planted by the water
We shall not be moved
Fighting arch insanity, we shall not be moved!...
Between Lincoln and the heroes, we shall not be moved...
We see through your vanity, we shall not be moved...
Keep your golden gargoyles, we shall not be moved...
Land Is Your Land
This land is your land, and this land is my land
From California to the New York Island
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream Waters
This land was made for you and me
I’ve roamed and rambled… and I followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of… her diamond deserts;
And all around me… a voice was sounding:
“This land was made for you and me.”
As I went walking… I saw a sign there
And on the sign it… said "No Trespassing."
But on the other side… it didn't say nothing,
That side was made for you and me.
In the squares of the city… in the shadow of the steeple,
By the relief office… I seen my people;
As they stood there hungry… I stood there asking,
“Is this land made for you and me?”
Nobody living… can ever stop me,
As I go walking… that freedom highway.
Nobody liv’ng can… ev’r make me turn back!
This land was made for you and me.
